From our conception Acera has had a single mission
This passion has origins in different places for each of the founders but continues to be a guiding principle for our business. We believe the most effective way for us to achieve this mission is through a Software as a Service offering engineered specifically for medical device companies. As a starting point we have combined key functions of Product Development, a Quality Management System, Project Collaboration and Document Control into our premier product – Pathway.
We believe two of the barriers medical device makers face is technology is too expensive to start using and too complicated to use. Often requiring servers and networks to be purchased, software to be installed and then upgraded – all of which have nothing to do with getting their innovative product into market. Acera’s Pathway is implemented using a Software as a Service model, bypassing all those hassles. Also it’s been nearly impossible to create all the cross-references and linkages required to sufficiently document even a simple medical device. Pathway’s unique approach to web based deliverables eliminates all those hassles. Simple to start, Simple to use is how we help the medical device entrepreneur be successful.
We know its not just about a tool, so in addition to Pathway, Acera also offers a set of Consulting Services to the medical device marketplace, including Migration Services, Product Development Services, Project Management Services and Compliance Services. Our first preference is to work with a set of established partners but we’ve found there are circumstances where our customer wants to have one stop accountability for their project and the software they are using to execute that project and therefore we have developed our own Consulting Services team.
